Hey hey babes! It’s Friday! We did it! And this weekend is going to be BEAUTIFUL!! Finally, we have been waiting for it. We have gotten little tastes of it at times but this weekend, its here. Spring has finally sprung and it is time to enjoy it. Ditch the jackets, leave the house, and soak up some much needed vitamin D. It does wonders. If anything just enjoy the fact that winter is done and we are one step closer to sweet, sweet summertime. So how do we ring in spring?? Let’s see.
1. CLEAN! My personal favorite. Open the windows, clean out the junk drawers, purge the closets, just start fresh. Spring is about new beginnings. So get the extra stuff out! I swear, even when you can’t see the stuff, you know it is there. Once you clean and just do a reset in your house you truly feel this lightness overcome you. It’s the best and totally something we all need right about now.
2.Get out of the house. I know contradicting to cleaning but do it! Go on a hike. Clean out your car. Play tennis. (Me and DJs new favorite thing) Go get ice cream. Even if it is just a walk in the neighborhood. Feel the sunshine on your skin. We have been waiting all those months for this day, so let’s do it!
3. Invite some friends over and make a summer time meal! This might be my favorite. Make some burgers, grill some chicken (on the grill, without freezing!!), drink some beer, just enjoy the weather together. Put on some music, sit back, drink a few, eat some yummy things, and look at the beautiful life and company you have.
4. Make a list. You know me and my lists! Make a list of all the things you want to do this spring and summer. They might be fun things or hard things or mental things or silly things. Whatever they are, make a list and commit to them.
5. Love yourself. Because you deserve it.
