Happy Friday, my loves! Another week has come to a close, and we are approaching the weekend. Friday’s, like many people, are my favorite day of the week. Not only because the work week is over or because I am about to enter two days of fun and family time, but because they are a good reminder of how far I have come throughout the week. Each week, when Friday rolls around, I try to think of the highlights. This is something so simple that we can do to ensure that we go into the weekend on a positive note. This week, I realized that one of my greatest accomplishments was with my students. I know, I like to talk about them a lot, but they are just amazing little seven year olds. When you look into their eyes you can’t help but think of all the things they could become. It’s truly something so special and unique about my day-to-day. This week, I wanted them to believe in themselves as much as I believe in them. We decided that as a class, we would start our days with this saying: “If you believe in yourself, the world will believe in you, too!” There was something so inspiring and special about hearing young, little, innocent minds saying something so big and powerful. I may be their teacher, but they teach me so much more. I want us all to go back to that seven year old we once were. The one who wanted to be a ballerina or a superhero. The one whose biggest choice was between chocolate or vanilla. The one who knew if they believed they could, they did. There is something so amazing about seeing life unfold through the eyes of a child. I hope that from this point on, we live our day-to-day lives with that seven year old mindset on the forefront. Believe in yourself TORQUE babes, and believe me, the world will too.
Sending you all love and hugs wherever you may be. And don’t forget, let your mind be seven years old again and believe you can because then you will.
