Hi there TORQUE babes! I am so excited about this weather. I feel like as soon as the sun start shining, people start shining as well. Smiles are more common, laughter fills the air, and the general vibe of life is just so much more cheery and all things happy. I love this time of year for those reasons and so many more. I always say that these blogs are not planned and they come to me at random times. I love that they are inspired by the world that we live in because it just makes it real and relatable. Because of life and the business of college coming to an end (literally 2 more days!!) my time in the studio has been wishy washy and not a set schedule. I always try to get there and when I'm there I really try to make the most of it. To simply be there. To take it in. To just absorb all of the positivity and turn my mind off. While I was there this past Saturday I was able to spin with Sums. It was a great class. The energy was high, the music was loud, we were all in sync. The list could literally go on. Not one bad thing about that class. We made our way to the inspo song and it was a jam. “Don’t Kill My High” is just one of those songs. I’m pretty sure that there isn't one person who doesn't like that song. It’s just that good. But it wasn't just the song or the lyrics. It was something so simple. So little. Literally 3 words that Summer said that just warmed my heart and wrapped me in a hug even though it was just me and my bike. she was talking about how there are always people in this world who will suck joy out of your life. The one’s who kill your vibe. She was in the middle of talking about that and she said, but don't worry…”we got you”. And it just really hit home.
I think that it is really easy to get lost in this big, scary world that we live in. Or to get caught up in all the expectations and opinions that others have. And I know this because I am living in it, just like we all are. And through all of that, we find those safe havens. those places and people where we can go to just be. When Summer said that, it just made sense. There are always going to be problems. Whether it is a fight with a significant other, a friendship that failed, life choices, life changes, a painful diagnosis, or mean words that scar. Whatever it may be, this tribe, we got you. I mean think about that. A whole tribe, of strong women, has your back. No. Matter. What. That, right there, is amazing. And I know, I know some of you think that you aren't in this tribe or that this doesn't apply to you. But that is where you are wrong. You belong here. You are a part of this. And we got you. Plain and simple. If you need a hug? Done. A long chat? No problem. Prayers? We got that too. Know that in your heart that we are here together, to walk and do life together, and that will never change.
So tribe, know that this is a safe haven for us all. It is a place to grow. It is a place to heal. It is place to find the best version of yourself. And the whole time, each step of the way, we got you. Love you to the moon, keep shooting for the stars.
