Rain rain go away, we have a gal to brighten your day! Seriously this rain…GOODBYE! But it is a Wednesday and TORQUE tribe, you know the drill. We practice and preach about creating our own sunshine and like I always say, these women crushes fit perfectly into the rhythm of life. This TORQUE babe found the studio not too long ago, but has used it as her sunshine on her darkest of days since day one!! How awesome is that?? Her name is Amy Lane and she is a total #barrebabe. You can find her in the spin room from time to time, but her home is at the barre! Amy found TORQUE at a transitional time in her life and started to make commitments to herself to not only eat healthier, but to also become more fit. What a better place to do all of that then this beautiful place we call home?! Amy is not only a fighter and a doer, she is also a mama. Her son Brock is her world. Being full time mom, she knows first-hand the challenges of putting yourself first when you have little ones to take care of. She said that the one reason she is able to enjoy TORQUE so much is because she knows her son is safe and happy in the child care room! Amy, we are so thankful that you have found TORQUE and have let it help you become the best version of you. We love you and all that you bring to the studio and can’t wait to continue to go through this crazy life with you by our side!!

Favorite TORQUE memory:
It’s hard to pinpoint one favorite memory! I think I come away from TORQUE every time with a new memory and reminder of why I enjoy going to the studio so much. If I had to choose one memory, it might be my very first Barre class that I took with Molly. There was something about her teaching style and the words she used that were so encouraging. I needed to hear all those words at that very moment. She builds confidence in each one of us in every class by pushing us to work hard and push those limits, even when we doubt ourselves! I’ve since found that all the instructors bring positivity and inspiration to us in multiple ways. It’s amazing!
Favorite quote and what it means to you

I try to remember this in my interaction with others…a smile goes a long way!
Your definition of TORQUE:
TORQUE is strength, support and overall, just a really cool place to be. TORQUE has helped me believe I can, even when I had self-doubt. On hard days, where everything else seems to be out of whack, I know I can spend 45 minutes on myself with no guilt and come out feeling like I can keep going.
Favorite workout clothing brand:
Athleta and Marika! I’ll splurge on Lululemon every once in a while! And l like to find bargains at Target, Marshalls and Stein Mart.
Favorite post workout snack:My snack actually depends on my workout. After a long run, I love chocolate milk! And you can usually find me with an apple, a boiled egg or half a protein bar after other workouts.

Amy’s TORQUE schedule:
You can usually find me in at least 2 Barre classes a week…with Molly on Sundays, Alicia on Tuesdays and Julie on Thursdays. I just tried TRX for the first time a few weeks ago and loved it! Brooke was subbing for Alicia on a Wednesday – whew! That was an awesome workout. I then took Alicia’s class the next week. Fantastic! I need to fit that class into my week, too, somehow!! I was surprised how much I liked it! I haven’t done much spin lately, but I’m sure I’ll get back to it soon.
